In August 2000 Concorde was grounded, many pessimists though permanently, but the work of hundreds of engineers and flight crews over the coming 15 months proved the pessimists wrong - This is the full story.
After the brainstorming session the plan is approved and work is set to go
on a set of measures that would hopefully see Concorde back in revenue service
in 3-4 months
To convince the Authorities of the robustness of the modifications, Concorde
and many other systems must be tested and re-tested to show that what happened
in Pairs could never happen again.
13 months after the certification was removed it is returned to Concorde.
Nothing looks to be able to stop Concorde bouncing back until the afternoon
of Sept 11th 2001
With Concorde's main destination in turmoil and modifications continuing, the airlines has to correctly time the date when they would re-launch Concorde.
